The Whole Creation Story – Part 25

You see, any rejoicing because your enemy died is NOT lamentation!

…2Samuel 1:23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions. 24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel. 25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places. 26 I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women. 27 How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!

This is a lamentation. An intense sorry at the loss of something dear or beloved.

Hence, knowing that, we get the sense of what we are looking at here…

Ezekiel 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; …

This is THE LORD GOD and He is LAMENTING the loss of someone very dear or very honorable to Him.

This is NOT The Lord being happy and rejoicing that His enemy has been destroyed.

This is LIKE David lamenting over Jonathan.

There is no “lamentation” for the PRINCE, there is only lamentation for the KING

v12… Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum

Numbers 26:2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers’ house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.

Numbers 31:26 Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

The sum is a count or an accounting. This is The Lord’s “accounting” of this being/personage.

To “seal” is to close off, tie up or shut up or to bring to a CONCLUSION.

Job 14:17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.

Job 41:15 His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.

SoS 4:12 A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

So, what was the conclusion of the accounting of this “King of Tyrus” of which The Lord God Almighty is lamenting?

First, notice that…

v12… Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum

The Lord didn’t seal this. The king of Tyrus sealed his own fate.

So, what is the final accounting? The King of Tyrus was…

v12… full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;

So, this King of Tyrus that The Lord God is lamenting, was in Eden. Who was there?

Ummm, Adam, Eve, The Lord, The Serpent. I got nothing else. You?

So, this “King of Tyrus” would have to be one of those four, I would say, wouldn’t you?

13… every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created

Hmmm. Adam have any of that? NOPE Eve? NOPE

Could this be The Lord Himself? Well, at this point I don’t see why it could not. Let’s continue.

v14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

This “King of Tyrus” was ALSO “the anointed CHERUB that covereth”.

This fact, of course, rules out any human being in the history of mankind.

It also rules out The Lord, who was never a cherub and didn’t “set thee so” to himself.

Thus, this “King of Tyrus” is not a carnal/physical king (man) but a spiritual-realm king. There really is no other conclusion, no other choice.

v15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

The Lord God was forced to destroy the “anointed, covering cherub” who is now also called “the King of Tyrus”.

The Lord laments him, created him, I would say – loved him.

So, if you remember the “prince of Tyrus”, the human king on the planet earth?

What made him so special??? Well, let’s review…

v3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: 5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

Where did he learn all of this? Straight from the horse’s mouth, of course, Straight from the King of Tyrus, of course…

Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; …

Lucifer is the highest ranking of the Sons of God.

Lucifer is the Most Beautiful & Powerful of the Sons of God.

But, that isn’t enough. Lucifer wants more.

Lucifer wants to be like God. He wants to give life and be worshipped.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
