Latin Vulgate. The Vulgate is a Latin version of the Holy Bible, and largely the result of the labors of St Jerome, who was commissioned by Pope Damasus I in 382 A.D. to make a revision of the old Latin translations. By the 13th century this revision had come to be called the versio vulgata, that is, the “commonly used translation”, and ultimately it became the definitive and officially promulgated Latin version of the Holy Bible in the Catholic Church.
Westcott and Hort’s Greek New Testament (1888) is the “source text” for today’s modern Bible versions.
Nestle-Aland Greek Text. 1st edition in 1898. Currently on 28th edition (in 2012 as of Sept 2021)
United Bible Societies’ 5th edition (1st in 1966, 5th 2014) This Greek text, is identical with that of the 28th edition of Nestle Aland except for some minor punctuation differences.
This is where EVERY modern ‘bible’ comes from.
Where did all of that stuff come from?
Aleph (Sinaiticus)
– Found in 1800s in a trash can in a monastery at the foot of Mt. Sinai.
– 9000 words differ from Majority Text. (1 per verse)
– Does not contain Exodus, Joshua, Samuel, Kings, Hosea, Amos, Micah, Ezekiel, Daniel, nor Judges.
– End of Mark and John are missing.
– Bel and the Dragon, Judith, Tobit, and other apocryphal books included in text.
B (Vaticanus)
– “Discovered” in 1481 in Vatican vault.
– 8000 words differ from Majority Text. (almost 1 per verse)
– Altered by at least two hands. (Special camera, which makes digital form of faint writing,
supposedly confirms this.
– Has NEVER been examined by a Protestant (or
a Baptist).
A few other small documents
– ALL from Alexandria, Egypt.
Between Aleph and B 13,000 words differ from the Majority Text. (almost 2 per verse)
– Large parts missing from Samuel, Kings, Nehemiah, Psalms, Genesis, Mark, and Luke.
– Apocrypha (which means ‘false’) added.
– Does not include Revelation, Philemon, Titus, nor Timothy.
1611 Old printing press. Text needed corrections.
There are 4 more EDITIONS – NOT REVISIONS.
NEVER REVISIONS. NEVER RETRANSLATIONS. NEVER.
– EDITIONS in 1629, 1638 printing errors
What was printed was NOT what was intended to be printed – human error
NO RETRANSLATION OR OTHER IMPROVEMENTS WERE MADE.
NONE.
1762, 1769 2 things. Gothic to Roman type. Standardized spelling.
Again, there was NO retranslation or new decision of any kind. NONE.
The haters try to use the “1611 KJV” to scare people that it has changed.

Where is YOUR perfect Bible?
Better find it. You’ll be judged by it.
If you do an honest search and allow God to open your eyes, then He will show you the truth. But if you reject it outright, without studying, God will reject you.
The King James Bible is the complete and perfect Word of God to modern humanity.
It is a SUBSET of the complete Word of God settled in Heaven.
The “politically correct” way I put it to others is “The King James Bible is the purest form of God’s Word on this planet”.
It is pure truth, and yet gentle enough to use every day.
