When people “study” the King James and they want to “go to the Greek” to check the “original” Greek version on which the KJV English is based, the TEXTUS RECEPTUS is what they “go to”.
But, in fact, a little known FACT, the Textus Receptus was collated and published AFTER the King James Bible. The King James Bible is OLDER than the “TR”. —- KJV 1611 vs. TR 1633.
