Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

Acts 4:27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together(NKJ)

Jesus is NEVER called a “servant” in the Bible. Why?

John 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

To call the “King of Kings” a “servant” is blasphemy.

Matthew 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. Definitely Jesus

Galatians 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

Interesting verse…

Proverbs 29:21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

So, back to the KJV…

Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: … [and here is what happens if you DON’T have that!] 13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

The NEW King James removes over 20,000 words from the KJV.

The NEW King James changes over 100,000 words from the KJV.

The NEW King James changes or removes the word “repent” 44 times.

KJV “devil..” 117 times. “demon..” 0 times.

“devils” is not in the NKJV. It is replaced with “demons” every time.

The NIV has 64,098 words less than the KJV.

It’s a little tough to call 100,000 words changed, or 64.000 missing, perfect.

Here a little and there a little, remember.

Well, there’s a whole lot less here and there in the NEW “bibles” than there is in the Word of God.

How many “doctrines” do you think might be missing in 64,000 words?

What about 100,000 word changes???? That’s a lot of doctrine.

And Satan knows those words better than anyone but Jesus.

Satan knows EXACTLY what he needs to change to hide that which he wants to hide.

Very Important– THERE ARE NO EXTANT ORIGINALS. NONE.

That ABSOLUTE FACT is NO PROBLEM. NONE.

How do we KNOW that? The same way we know every truth.

Jeremiah 36:1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

In verse 21 the roll is brought before King Jehoiakim and read by his servant Jehudi.

Jeremiah 36:21 So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king. 22 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him. 23 And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

Thus ends ORIGINAL #1 !
Jeremiah 36:32 Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

Thus ORIGINAL #2 is born.
We are shown the text of this second original in Jeremiah 45-51 where it is reproduced for our benefit.

Jeremiah told Seraiah to read this roll when he came into Babylon.

Jeremiah 51:60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. 61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;  … 63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

Thus ends ORIGINAL #2!
But wait!

We have a copy of the text of the roll in chapters 45-51 (It is in your Bible, right? Remember, the ORIGINAL was cast into the Euphrates river).

Where did it come from? It came from a copy of original #2 which we can only call ORIGINAL #3!
So there are two very big problems for those who overemphasize the “originals”.
(1) Every Bible ever printed with a copy of Jeremiah in it has a text in chapters 45-51 which is translated from a copy of the “second” original, or ORIGINAL #3. (2) Secondly, NO ONE can overlook the fact that God didn’t have the least bit of interest in preserving the “original” once it had been copied and its message delivered. So WHY should we put more of an emphasis on the originals than God does? An emphasis which is plainly unscriptural.
Thus, since we have the text of the “originals” preserved in the King James Bible we have no need of the originals, even if they were available.

Part 4 – History

Origins of Bible Translations

  1. Inspiration – God gives HIS WORDS understanding.

“inspir..” only in The Bible twice.    The one you know…

2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The one you don’t…

Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Romans 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural (unsaved) man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God (God’s inspiration gives the saved understanding): for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

“fool..” and “understand..”

Jeremiah 5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

Seen that before????????… How about here…

Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

It is the INSPIRATION OF GOD that makes the Word understandable.

  1. Inspiration – God gives HIS WORDS understanding.

  1. Preservation – God keeps HIS WORDS as He wants them.

“preserv..” in The Bible 57 times.    #1…

Genesis 19:32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

The last 2…

2Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

About The Bible…

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, (not man) thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

  1. Inspiration – God gives HIS WORDS understanding.
  2. Preservation – God keeps HIS WORDS as He wants them.

  1. Perfection – Not even one little small grammatical error.

“Perfect..” 129 times. 1st one…

Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Hebrews…

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Hebrews 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Hebrews 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Last 1…

Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

GOD REQUIRES PERFECTION.

He required it from His Son (The Word).

He requires it from His Sons.
