Part 2 – Logic
Here is the root of the problem.
Mankind is a race of liars.
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Psalms 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Psalms 62:9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: (humans somehow don’t get this and think the opposite)
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
1Samuel 15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
The Father of the human race is a liar and the father of lying
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Listen to this, this may come as a shock.
Satan does NOT lie all the time.
The worst human liar on this planet does not lie ALL THE TIME.
If Satan lied all the time and every time, it would be much easier.
We’d say, “if his lips are moving, he’s lying”.
But that is exactly the problem. You can’t tell.
Satan isn’t just a liar, he is the best liar ever. Smooth. Calm. Passing every lie detector. Passing every test. Completely believable.
So good, you will never even detect he is lying. Never.
And he is so smart, so brilliant, so knowledgeable, so learned, he knows immeasurably more than we do.
He will tell you incredible things. Incredible things. Beyond belief.
AND SOME OF THEM WILL BE TRUE. YOU CAN BE SURE OF THAT!
How will you know if he is telling the truth or lying? You won’t. You can’t.
So, here is the point.
There is only ONE way in this universe for you to know if Satan is lying.
Compare what Satan says to The Word of God. It is THE ONLY way.
There is NO OTHER WAY. NONE. WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTION.
What then, if we DON’T have the Word of God?
Mankind would be at the mercy of the greatest liar in all of creation.
He could tell (sell) us anything – and we would sell our souls for it!!
WE MUST HAVE THE WORD OF GOD.
Now, what if there are ERRORS or LIES in it?
1) Then we do NOT know what to believe.
We don’t KNOW what is truth and what is error. We must guess. Or listen to the lies of our father, Satan.
2) Then we cannot fully TRUST it. We will have to wonder at truth.
3) It is NOT THE WORD OF GOD.
God’s Word can have no lies, no errors, no omissions, no mistakes.
God will NEVER make you wonder at truth. Unless you reject it.
What does Satan do? 9944/100% truth, .56% error.
Satan knows this is his best weapon.
He realizes all too well what mankind does not.
Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Satan knows he does NOT have to modify the whole Bible to make it a lie.
In fact, if he did too much, the people would notice and run. Can’t have that.
Just a little leaven. Just a little untruth. Just a little change.
And the whole thing is not God’s Word.
Jesus IS The Word of God! (If it isn’t perfect then neither is Jesus)
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. … 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Part 3 – Changes
So, what’s the big deal, the scoffers say.
All the major doctrines are in the other “bibles” anyway so we aren’t missing anything.
Ummm, are you 100% sure? Nope. You are not. Can’t be. Nobody is.
No in-between with God.
On or Off. Right or Wrong. In or Out. Righteous or Sinful. Yes or No.
TRUTH or LIE. No in-between. 100% truth or 100% lie. “A little leaven”
That’s not easy to believe. It doesn’t seem logical. It doesn’t seem right.
“seemeth right” is only in The Bible twice, 2 witnesses…
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Personal – I wasn’t taught to be KJV. I wasn’t going to be KJV.
I was NIV. Easier. I thought.

(KJB) 1John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
(NIV) 6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
(NASB) 6 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not [e]with the water only, but [f]with the water and [g]with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 [h]the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are [i]in agreement.
The NIV went into the trash – maybe the fire, I don’t recall.
NEW King James was next up. Didn’t have the “thee”s and the “thou”s. That was ALL, they SAID, they really changed so I figured, sounds good.
I used it for years. Then I used it in a King James Only church for a year.
I begged The Lord to show me what was His and I promised I would use it!
2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.(NKJ)
