BUT —– How can someone “RECEIVE” GRACE – IN VAIN!!!!????
Well, I would say that somebody GAVE them GRACE, they heard it (“received” it), but they still trusted in THE LAW (WORKS), which makes that receiving of grace (by faith alone) IN VAIN!!!!!

Look what is PERFECTLY, EXACTLY, IMMEDIATELY RIGHT BEFORE 2 Corinthians 6:1…
2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
v18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled (past tense) us/YOU in the spirit to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us/YOU in the spirit the ministry of reconciliation;
We get reconciled/saved (get wisdom). Then we reconcile/lead others to Christ (give wisdom).
THE MINISTRY OF THE BODY OF CHRIST (IN THE SPIRIT-we ARE in the spirit) IS RECONCILIATION OF THE LOST (those still in the flesh!!!!!!) TO GOD!!!!!!!!!
v19 To wit, that God was (doing) — in Christ,(by using Jesus) — reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us/YOU, the YOU in the spirit – the word of reconciliation.
WE, the true body of Christ, are the ONLY people that can correctly utilize THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION.
WE, the true body of Christ, are the ONLY people that can LEAD OTHERS TO JESUS.
WE, the true body of Christ, are the ONLY people that can SHOW OTHERS HOW TO LIVE IN THE SPIRIT!
“live” + “spirit” on 5 times in the same verse in The Bible. Here are ALL 5…
Isaiah 38:16 O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.
Ezekiel 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
Roman 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit (AND WE ABSOLUTELY DO!!!!!), then… let us [i.e. WE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD – NOT we absolutely must] also walk in the Spirit.
1Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Beseech = BEG. God is BEGGING THEM – through the ministry of reconciliation – through Paul…
we pray you in Christ’s stead, what???? We are begging you in the ministry Jesus has given us… To do what??????????????????
be ye reconciled to God. They are NOT RECONCILED!!! In context, he isn’t asking them to re-dedicate their lives.
NOPE, He is begging them to GET SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then he tells them how it works!!!!!!!!
