The Keepers of the Law – Part 30

So, this is Bible Truth:

Once we are saved, we/us/I are in the SPIRIT. They are no longer IN the flesh. That is SOUND DOCTRINE.

A saved person still deals with his/her flesh. They are at war. BUT THEY ARE COMPLETELY 2 SEPARATE PERSONS!

Some say that the FLESH is not the same thing as the BODY, I disagree.

Combined “flesh” and “bod,,” are in The Bible over 700 times. I have seen ALL of them. There is really NOTHING that says the words are not completely interchangeable. Here is an example passage…

1Co 15:35  But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

This is talking specifically about THE BODY of a human.

1Co 15:36  Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

He is making a comparison to planting something DEAD (a seed) and having a new pant grow.

1Co 15:37  And that which thou sowest (plant/bury), thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

In other words you don’t plant the living plant – or you didn’t get anything NEW. It was just the same plant! You plant the dead seed – so you get a NEW plant to grow! This happened when you were conceived and when you were born a NEW person!

1Co 15:38  But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

So, this whole time we have been talkig about the body. Now He makes a switcheroo…

1Co 15:39  All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

1Co 15:40  There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1Co 15:41  There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

Now, He gets to the point!!!

1Co 15:42  So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

The “flesh”, the “body” is SOWN (planted/buried) “in corruption”: Dead, Corrupt, SinFULL.

The “flesh”, the “body” is RAISED (born/raised up NEW) “in INcorruption”: Alive, INcorruptible, SinLESS.

1Co 15:43  It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

THIS BODY, THIS FLESH the we have now, is dead, sinful, corrupt, dishonoured, weak. And it will NOT last forever.

1Co 15:44  It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

This is why Jesus HAD to come. Adam, and his type of “obedience”, produces nothing but death. Adam was disobedient.

1Co 15:45  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Jesus was obedient. And no other man in history ever was competely obedient without sin. None.

1Co 15:46  Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

1Co 15:47  The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

1Co 15:48  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

1Co 15:49  And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

1Co 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

What does this last phrase mean? It means this…

Job_14:4  Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

It is impossible. Once you die UNCLEAN, you are UNCLEAN forever.

Rev 22:11  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy (unclean), let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

There is a LINE between CLEAN and UNCLEAN. You are one or the other. Not both.
