The Keepers of the Law – Part 23

1Peter 1:23 Being born again [past tense, this is a COMPLETED PROCESS – it is INSTANT], not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible [This means we CANNOT be “corrupted” – begin the process of death, cause death], by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for everNo corruption!!!!

Leviticus 22:25 Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (which kills)

Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

1Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

2Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted (that’s when they died! That’s when we died) from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Corruption is the beginning, the start, of death. Death will SURELY follow!

1Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Quick question…If God GIVES US A DESIRE to serve Him, then why does Peter have to TELL NEW CHRISTIANS to desire the milk of the Word? It should happen immediatey and naturally, right? Welllllllll, it doesn’t!!!!

1Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

..42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.[what does that Quickening Spirit quicken in this case? The natural body] 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is (present tense) the heavenly (Jesus), such are (present tense) they also that are heavenly (the saved)

2Corinthian 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved [future tense], we have [current tense] a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: ..8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

People say this doesn’t mean what it clearly says. Well, Paul sure thought it meant exactly what it says…

Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Is lying in the ground, sleeping, far better? I don’t think so!! Might as well win people to Christ, right?
