The Keepers of the Law – Part 22

John 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his bodyWhy is His BODY a TEMPLE??

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

That’s why OUR BODY is a Temple.

1Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

But, Our MORTAL BODY is a DEAD BODY. It is SIN. It is UNCLEAN. It is UNHOLY. Period.

Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb

In other words, what man can have a child at 100 years old??? Abraham laughed!

Can a woman have a chid after the age of 90 and AFTER her woman-time stopped??? Sarah laughed!

Abraham asked and God reiterated.

Abraham BELIEVED GOD!!!!

And believing the seemingly or humanly impossible, just because God said it, – it was counted as RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin

Our MORTAL BODY IS DEAD. That is why God will NOT impute sin to it.

Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ [and we are dead with Christ], we believe that we shall also live with him:

Our Mortal Flesh is DEAD. However we are not completely delivered from it yet. Why not? The BODY has to die physically – in order to be born again.

Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you [and He IS, IF we are saved], the body is dead [so how can The Lord TOUCH a dead, unclean, unholy body? He can’t! Why not?…] because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness [clean, holy, sinless, righteous].

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you [and He does], he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies [the mortal body is not quickened yet] by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh [not “walk” but “LIVE” – in other words, if your LIFE is still in your FLESHLY MORTAL BODY], ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body [How do you “mortify the deeds of the body”? Over time? Get better? No, you KILL THE DEEDS OF THE BODY – IN AN INSTANT – by REPENTING OF DEAD WORKS!], ye shall live.

Listen, you have to “MORTIFY” the deeds of the body. MORTIFY=KILL. KILL=DEAD.

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

The Resurrection is the redemption of the body.

1Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

1Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

The spiritual/resurrection body is the perfect body. Sinless, like Jesus.

Right now, the natural/terrestrial (earthly) body, is dead (going to die is dead to God) and UNCLEAN and UNHOLY.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

1John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

There is a terrestrial body (THE FLESH) and there is a spiritual BODY (THE SPIRIT).

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

2Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  [is your body new? I would say it is. But, not this body of flesh.]

1Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die [this mortal body isn’t physucally dead yet]: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body

1Peter 1:23 Being born again [past tense, this is a COMPLETED PROCESS – it is INSTANT], not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible [This means we CANNOT be “corrupted” – begin the process of death, cause death], by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for everNo corruption!!!!
