Again, YOUR BODY is made up of 2 separate men.
The Outer Man (DEAD – my flesh, my members) and the Inner Man (BORN AGAIN – the hidden, spiritual man)
God is ONLY in the INNER MAN — although the INNER MAN IS IN THE BODY OF FLESH – in the temple.
I suppose you wanna see that in The Book?
His SPIRIT, THE HOLY GHOST, is “in the inner man”.
Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
ALL OF THE EFFECTS OF SALVATION HAPPEN TO THE INNER MAN – IN THE SPIRIT, NOT IN THE FLESH AT ALL!!!!
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, (it doesn’t LOOK detroyed, does it? It will be. It is just waiting for death/resurrection.) that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts (not your FLESHLY heart, your SPRITUAL HEART IN THE INNER MAN) by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love
1Corinthians 6:20 For ye [your body too] are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,[your fleshly BODY] unto the praise of his glory.
Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together [it is ALLL DEAD and currently dying] until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body [the fleshly body].
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye [YE does NOT include the fleshly body] are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Philippians 3:21 Who shall [hasn’t happened yet] change our vile body [the fleshly body], that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
1John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Ephesians 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Not the flesh!!!
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
1Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
BUT NOT IN the FLESH – in the spirit!!!
1Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. …15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
Do YOU know/understand exactly how this “one flesh” works??? I didn’t think so.
1Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Our BODIES ARE MEMBERS, YES, BUT NOW ONLY IN THE SPIRIT. THE FLESH/BODY IS DEAD – UNTIL RESURRECTION!!
“body+temple” only twice in The Bible
John 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
