Find 2 or 3 witnesses to confirm any doctrine.

2Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

How do you find them?

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words:

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure:.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Psalm 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

The Links between the PURE WORDS are how we find doctrine.  This is THE KEY to unlocking the TRUTH.

Luke 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Hence, “key” and “knowledge” are the pure words in our interest here. There are others in the verse, but these are our focus for what we want to understand.

NOTE – If you have to BIBLICALLY DEFINE  EVERY WORD in  a verse to understand it, then that is exactly what you do.

This is WORK. This is WORKING for The Lord.

Ecclesiastes 12:12 … much study is a weariness of the flesh.

And it is! As I have gotten older I am really feeling it. I love it, no excuse intended. But, if you don’t think it is work then give it a try.

Kyner gave me the sermon books and tried to guilt me into using them by saying I probably had too much “pride” to use them.

I looked at them. They made no sense. They were only skeletons anyway and they were basic, kindergarten, self-help, rah-rah, motivational seminars.

You have to study. I had to study.

The “law of first mention”.

1^st mention of “key”…

Judges 3:25 And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.

A key unlocks something that is LOCKED. It OPENS something. THIS PARTICULAR KEY we are studying OPENS KNOWLEDGE.

There is a “key” that unlocks knowledge.

Interestingly 1^st mention of “knowledge” is here…

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

There was “knowledge” with/on/in this tree.

Did Adam and Eve get this “knowledge”? yes, regrettably.

How did Adam and Eve get this knowledge?

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The KEY, that which OPENED this KNOWEDGE to them – WAS TO EAT IT. It was sitting there but until they ate it, their eyes were closed, their understanding was closed.

Get this – they were both completely naked. Do you know when you are naked? They hadn’t even a little clue that they were naked. Not a single idea.

You EAT to get KNOWLEDGE. That’s the KEY. And it wasn’t “the tree” that they ate – it was THE FRUIT of the tree. You EAT to get your eyes opened.

Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened [what does a “key” do? It “opens” things!], and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked;

Interestingly, now we know that “knowledge” comes from a “tree”.

“Tree” is another PURE word.

“tree” is in The Bible 201 times. “trees” adds another 157 for a total of 358.

There is the TREE OF KNOWLEDGE of good and evil.

There is the TREE OF LIFE.

What does the Tree of Life do?

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

A tree of life – GIVES ETERNAL LIFE.

IF you EAT its fruit.

Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

So, A TONGUE, my tongue, your tongue, CAN LITERALLY GIVE ETERNAL LIFE!

Well, a “wholesome” tongue, right? What’s that?

Listen, ASSUME NOTHING. EVER. As soon as you ASSUME you are done.

“wholesome” is only in The Bible twice. Here is the other…

1Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

Listen, the tongue of Proverbs 15:4, that wholesome tongue? It was NOT available in the OT. Solomon, though he wrote of it, did not possess it.

None of the OT Bible greats had it, not Adam, Methuselah, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, David, Elijah, Elisha – None of them.

None of them could truly “win a soul”. I can. You can. Any saved person can.

WE HAVE A TONGUE THAT IS A TREE OF LIFE!!!!!!!!!

And when we win someone to Christ, their tongue becomes a tree of life!

1Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God,

which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

King James Only believers – they BELIEVE they have the very exact and perfect Words of God in The King James Bible.

Any NON KJV “believer” does NOT believe this.

They have over 100 different “versions” to choose from.

They THEMSELVES decide which to believe and teach.

This is what is called “final authority”.

There are several you should know about.

1, Mine. The King James Bible. 1611 – 1769, in its current form.

The King James Bible is the final authority. Nothing else.

2, The Textus Receptus. This is what the church and Bible college I attended believe and teach.

The “original” Greek is the final authority. They claim KJV but they live in the Greek for their doctrine.

3, Any Bible. This is what MOST modern churches believe and teach.

The bible or reading that the reader chooses for the present situation makes the READER the final authority.

Both #2 and #3 have already failed God’s test and thus they have ceased to get any new revelation or understanding – at all. None. God has ceased to “effectually [effectively] worketh” in them.

They have learned nothing new for 100 years. And they really didn’t get a lot before that. Walking away from the King James has destroyed all of their keys of knowledge.

This is why their children are rebelling.

I stumbled onto (!) what was considered, by themselves, a “king james” church.

I was using a New King James at the time. I honestly wasn’t about to go to a King James.

But I knew The Lord had sent me to that church – it was obvious.

So, I figured He had a good reason. And I found out quickly that it wasn’t the Pastor.

I went to church there for several years.  Pepperoni Pizza. Not one soul in all that time.

So, it must have been something else.

• How to begin to study.

These are big steps.

Some very quick NON-King James issues – just a couple, they should suffice.

Psalm 72:14

KJV    He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

NIV    He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

NET   From harm and violence he will defend them; he will value their lives.

Matthew 6:33

KJV   But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

TLB   and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.

NLT  Seek the Kingdom of God[e] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

1 John 5:7

KJV   For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

NLT  So we have these three witnesses [yeah, that’s it]

NIV   For there are three that testify [yes, again, that’s all folks]

John 3:16

KJV   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

NKJ   For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

NIV   For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

NLT  For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life

John 1:18

KJV    No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

NLT   No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

NIV    No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

RSV   No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.

Titus 1:16

KJV    They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

RSV   They profess to know God, but they deny him by their deeds; they are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good deed.

NLT   Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

NIV   They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

This was just a VERY small sample. There are many, many more.

Remember the “KEY OF KNOWLEDGE” (Luke 11:52), as we studied earlier, is WORD LINKS. Destroy the word links, destroy the doctrines.

If you don’t have The 100% Accurate, Inerrant, Infallible Bible then you don’t have The Word of God.

God will cut you off right here.

Next, the studier MUST have a willing mind.

2Corinthians 8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

People are fond of saying, “what does that mean”. The correct questions is “what does it SAY”.

It means what it SAYS – not what you tell me it means.

What is this saying?

1Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

It’s all about what you believe. What are you looking for? Are you looking for truth from The Lord? NO MATTER WHAT THE COST!

Or something else? Money? Prestige? Fame? Numbers? Friends? Worshippers? Confirmation?

We will see that verse again!

You will NOT understand everything, but you MUST believe everything. Without question.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you are going to find TRUTH, you are going to have to find HIM!

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Psalm 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

You will NOT understand everything, but you MUST believe everything. Without question.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

2Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Psalm 119:100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

To “keep” doesn’t mean to “do” something. It means to “guard” something. How do I KNOW that? That isn’t a GUESS. The Bible defines itself.

So, what do we do? How do we judge this? How do we prove it?

1Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

What are “spiritual things”?

Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, [is the same thing as] I will make known my words unto you.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

If you want to “compare spiritual things with spiritual”, then you need to COMPARE THE WORDS.

Hence, if we want to know what “keep” means, IN THE BIBLE, we SEARCH and COMPARE “KEEP” WITH “KEEP”.

A “dictionary” is NOT spiritual. It cannot always be trusted.

So, let’s see the first 3 “keep”s in The Bible…

Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Adam was supposed to GUARD the Garden of Eden. He didn’t do a very good job.

So, God sent CHERUBIMS to GUARD it with a flaming sword. They did a much better job of GUARDING (“keeping”) IT.

Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

God was GUARDING life by using the Ark.

So,

Psalm 119:100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

This doesn’t mean that the Psalmist was a “good” boy (like the ‘ol Devil wants you to believe (“just be good and you’ll be fine”), but rather that he “guarded” God’s Word. He KEPT BELIEVING IT. He “kept” them close. He “kept” them in his heart and mind – like he was supposed to.

He never STOPPED believing. No matter how bad it seemed. No matter how bad it got.

He never stops KEEPING God and His Word first, even when it looks bad, when it looks worse, when it looks improbable, when the world says it is IMPOSSILBE. He KEEPS on guarding it. He continues to believe it and trust it. To jump off the cliff for it.

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

The moment you decide you don’t believe something, The Lord will cut you off. You won’t get anything else from The Lord.

To not believe the Holy Ghost is to call Him a liar. To call The Holy Ghost a liar is to blaspheme Him.

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

You scoff, at all, doubt, ever, God will close the door.

If one is going to learn anything, The Holy Ghost is going to teach it to him/her.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We must search the WORDS of The Bible to UNLOCK the deep and secret things of God. And they ONLY unlock to those to whom The Lord gives the key to His secrets.

The LOST are those without understanding…

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Here is their “understanding”…

1Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen

We will deal with SCIENCE FALSELY SO CALLED.

They have no answers. All they do is say something IS, without proof, without real evidence.

Then, the next year, next decade, next whatever they “evolved” and “discovered” some NEW stuff that is NOW true and the old belief, well, we were just getting closer. But, THIS TIME, we have it right. Until the next time. Is Pluto a planet?

Here is a typical science journal headline … from 5/12/22

“Scientists Finally Know What Triggered the Biggest Climate Catastrophe in History”

“Scientists believe they have finally discovered the trigger for the world’s biggest climate catastrophe. The catastrophe in question took place around 252 million years ago. At that time, the world was going through a ‘tumultuous period of rapid global warming’.”

…In a few years they will finally know more and this theory will be thrown out with the rest.

They coerce people to believe them because they claim to be smart.

2Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

I told you to remember professors. “Profess..” is in The Bible 12 times. Here are 2.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him,…

They don’t deny HIM by DOING anything. They DENY JESUS BY BEING IN WORKS

They DON’T deny HIM by DOING WORKS, THEY DENY JESUS BY…

…being abominable, and [being] disobedient, and [being] unto every good work reprobate.

Reprobate = Rejected. Every “good work” they think they do is REJECTED!

They have NO understanding.  They have NO answers. They are spies/fakes.

Their False Prophets have destroyed them with lies and the lure of filthy lucre.

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

“Fools” is in The Bible 42 times.

Note- Although I would say there are more than 42 “fools” in The Bible.

But, here are just a few of them…

Job 30:8 They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.  [Pastors/Professors]

Proverbs 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? [Television – simplicity]

Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. [Materialism]

Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Ecclesiastes 7:5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. {Marilyn Manson]

Ecclesiastes 9:17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. [Politics]

They have been taught for GENERATIONS to “REPENT OF YOUR SINS”. This is such a salvation (FALSE salvation) catch-phrase that people look at you like you’re a little green alien.

Ladies on the bench.

This is what the FOOLS have been teaching for generations. It is a FALSE GOSPEL.

And it provides NO ANSWERS. The followers are tapped and miserable. Too blind to leave.

But their children are leaving in droves.

I have 7 children. They do not ALL understand everything that I understand.

But they all UNDERSTAND what they believe.

This is why they have not turned from it.

This is why they have taught their friends and loved ones to believe it.

This is why they are teaching their children to believe it.

This is why they stare into the face of the hatred of the entire world and continue to believe it.

Because they GET ANSWERS.

And, in this study, we are going to get answers.

Wisdom and Understanding are EVERYTHING.

Let’s get some. Let’s get a lot!

Before we begin —- a study on study.

How does one study The Bible?

You already know why…

2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

But HOW??

First, the studier MUST be saved, of course. If you aren’t saved you have NO CHANCE of understanding anything in God’s Word.

1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

It’s not that the lost person can’t physically read the words – but that he can’t RECEIVE anything from the SPIRIT.

This is the ONLY way to understand God’s Word.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:

Next, the studier MUST have THE WORDS OF GOD.

Without them, there is nothing to study – except the words of completely naïve, money-grubbing human liars.

Revere God’s Word for what it is. The moment you treat it as ordinary, imperfect or unholy, you will be cut off from future revelation.
