The Keepers of the Law – Part 31
There is a LINE between CLEAN and UNCLEAN. You are one or the other. Not both.
If you are unclean then your children are unclean.
If the first human is unclean then the rest of their offspring are BORN unclean. The entire human race is unclean. Binary.
Except 1. Not 2 or 3 or 10. One.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
This does NOT happen until the resurrection.we are corruptible, unclean filthy sinners in the flesh/body when we die.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
In other words, sin, just one, like Adam, stings us and we get DEATH. What allows SIN to do that? The LAW. Break the law, you die!
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Here is another passage… (2 witnesses)
Eph_5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph_5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph_5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
The flesh and bones together make up the body. Flesh and body are used interchangeably. The LIFE of the FLESH (body) is where? In the blood!
Lev_17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
So, one more thing…
Col_1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
Joh 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Luk_22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
So, the flesh and the body are synonymous unless specifically separated like when referring to “bones”.
Gal_3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
But our flesh and body and bones are NOT changed at all when we get saved. Not a little bit.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:…
